Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya

Maasai Mara National Reserve is located in the south western part of Kenya and the most famaous safari park in the world.

Every year more than 2 millions of wildebeests and zebras are moving between Masai Mara and Serengeti, you can see this Mystery of the Great Nature. 

This region is about 270 km away from Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya, and the size is about 1,510 km2.

The Big Five (Lion, Elephant, Bufffalo, Rhino, and Leopard) animals live in this region and they have many accomadations which have variety of price levels.

‘Masai’ is a name of a tribe in Kenya and ‘Mara’ means a ‘Spot’ in the language of the tribe Masai. If you see the region from afar, the bushes and the ponds look like the spots in the spacious field, That is the reason why this region is being called as ‘Masai Mara’, we believe.

The best time for the travel for this region is from June to October and the climate is moderate like Spring but we need a windproof jumper at night and early in the morning.
